Vacuum excavators, also known as vacuum excavators, are machines used to remove unwanted solid material from a working area, usually within the underground environment. These machines are powered by either steam or air pressure and have a variety of different attachments. They can be used in a wide variety of excavation projects and on a wide range of soil types. A normal vacuum excavator has a bucket which is mounted on a boom and has a hose that is connected to the engine. The excavator will then pull and vacuum the soil to a depth of at least one meter and sometimes even more.

There are many types of vacuum excavators including boom, straight, cable, double, single, hoe, bucket, tracked, raking, hedge trimmer, snow blower, skip hire, self-propelled, tilt and turn, tilt blade, skid steer, boom trucks and pallet trucks. The most common type of excavator however, is the straight hoe excavator. These machines are capable of performing both wet and dry excavations. They can be powered either pneumatically or hydraulically. You may read more.

Vacuum excavators that uses a positive displacement blower are most often used for light soil excavation. This type of excavator has three major parts: the boom, the negative displacement blower, and the vacuum tubing. The positive displacement blower has two major components which include the air tank, expansion tank, the vacuum tubing and a shaft. When the air is pumped into the tank, the air travels through the tube, expands it and creates a vacuum which is released when the tip of the air blade strikes the surface of the dirt. Once the air is released, the debris vibrates, creating a suction that sucks the material up into the scoop bucket.

Another type of power vacuum excavator is the high-pressure water vacuum. This type of excavator has an internal pump that raises and lowers the water bladder. The bladder is attached to a vacuum pump, which is connected to a transfer line that transports the excavated material to the dump or truck bed.

The third type of vacuum excavator is the hydrostatic vacuum. This is considered one of the most powerful forms of all types of vacuum excavators and is suitable for boring holes, ditches, retaining walls, retaining piles and grading. These excavators require line work, because water acts as an insulator and slows down the digger's speed significantly.

The above information about vacuum excavation trucks is quite useful. It should however be remembered that suction excavators are not to be used in cases where there is a risk of serious injury or damage to people. For this reason, these machines are strictly to be used within professional capacities and it is always wise to seek professional help when using these machines. In addition, it is imperative to adhere to all safety standards when using vacuums. Suction excavators may prove to be useful tools, but misuse can result in life-threatening accidents.
